Day 1: Las Vegas - Sedona(L) After pickup from your Las Vegas hotel, enjoy a morning snack and travel by comfortable minivan toward Sedona, Arizona, 275 miles (443 km) away. Cross the Mojave Desert, and head up the Colorado Plateau through forests of Ponderosa pine and along historic Route 66. Listen to your informative guide discuss the history and geology of the sights you see throughout the day.
As you approach Sedona, take the breathtakingly scenic Oak Creek Canyon Scenic Drive down 2,000 feet (610 meters) into the verdant, spring-fed Oak Creek Canyon. Capture photos from the Oak Creek Canyon Overlook and Slide Rock State Park.
Continue on to Sedona, where you'll savor a boxed lunch before browsing the arts and crafts at the city's many unique shops and galleries. Then head up to the architecturally distinctive Chapel of the Holy Cross, and enjoy panoramic views of famous Sedona red rock formations including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral Rock. Afterward, have dinner (own expense) and settle into your upscale hotel offering more red rock views.
Overnight: Accommodation at Orchards Inn in Sedona, Arizona Day 2: Sedona - Grand Canyon National Park (L) Following breakfast (own expense), leave Sedona and travel 114 miles (183 km) to Grand Canyon National Park. Your guide will offer facts and anecdotes about the Grand Canyon and suggestions for how to spend your time there. Check into your lodge accommodation, enjoy a boxed lunch and spend the day taking in mesmerizing views of the canyon at your own pace. Your guide can help you arrange a 45-minute helicopter tour of the canyon during your free time if you wish. After dinner (own expense), settle down for the night at your Grand Canyon lodge.
Overnight: Accommodation at either Maswik Lodge or Yavapai Lodge
Day 3: Grand Canyon National Park - Las Vegas Spend your morning experiencing more unforgettable views of the Grand Canyon at your leisure, and take your fill of incredible photos. Check out local shops and recharge with lunch (own expense) before heading back to Las Vegas by minivan in the afternoon. Your scenery-packed 3-day Arizona adventure concludes with drop-off at your Las Vegas hotel.
