The Addo Elephant National Park is home to the densest population of elephant in the world and is now the third largest national park in South Africa. The park can exclusively claim to be the only national park in the world to conserve the “Big 7” the Big 5 as well as the Southern Right whale and Great White shark off the Algoa Bay coast. Apart from elephants, other mammals in Addo include lion, the endangered Cape buffalo, black rhino, zebra, jackal, warthog and numerous species of antelope.
