During your nighttime tour of Porto, listen as commentary from your guide highlights the city’s monuments and landmarks, lit up for the evening with floodlights. You’ll drive along famous Avenida dos Aliados, with its monumental architecture and grand open plazas like Liberdade Square.
Porto is renowned for its historic churches, and you’ll see them in a different light on this nighttime tour. Admire the lit-up bell tower of Cl□rigos Church, one of Porto’s signature landmarks, its Baroque scrolls and campanile visible across the city. You’ll also drive past the Romanesque architecture of Porto’s cathedral, one of the city’s oldest buildings and flanked by two square towers.
See more recent landmarks like the grand So Bento train station visit during the day to admire its blue-and-white azulejo tile panels depicting scenes from Portugal’s past. You’ll also take a drive through Porto’s scenic Ribeirinha, a port area known for its restaurants, nightlife and views of the city’s lamplit bridges and riverside.
Continue your Porto night out with dinner in the intimate surroundings of a typical Portuguese restaurant, O Fado, with tiled walls and soft lantern lighting. You’ll be served a traditional meal consisting of a starter, meat or fish main course, and dessert, accompanied by wine, beer or juice.
While dining, sit back and relax as the poignant songs of Portuguese Fado wash over you. The two-hour Fado show introduces you to Portugal’s unforgettably moving music, sung by a soloist (the fadista) and accompanied by classical acoustic guitar. Like folk music paired with the blues, Fado’s lyrics speak of homesick sailors and lovelorn couples no wonder this music form has been added to UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

Excellent tour. Good show, great singers and very good food. Lots of wine. You get to see a little bit of the city at night. Our guide took us to a very high point on the city so we can see the city landscape at night.

This tour is fantastic. Our guide took 4 of us to vantage points on both sides of the river and was incredibly knowledgeable about history and with anecdotes. The experience at the Fado Performance was wonderful with the 2 singers and the 2 musicians giving a performance with an emotional intensity. The food and company was pretty good too.

What a fantastic night tour of Porto and an enjoyable and delicious dinner/Fado show. Our guide Yorick was very knowledgeable and personable. I would strongly recommend this non touristy, intimate show and evening out. Well worth the price for the quality of the meal and individual service. They will also pick you up at your house which is a real plus.

Pedro our driver picked us up from our Hotel on time always a good way to start a tour! He was very pleasant and spoke English well. We did not get much of a tour of Porto by Night, we basically drove across the river to the Guia side and looked at Porto for a bit and then we drove to dinner. The dinner was wonderful! We were able to enjoy two Fado singers this evening. So if you are doing this tour for a guided tour of Porto at Night ... would not suggest, but if you want a wonderful dinner and want to experience Fado ... worth doing.
