Learn about the river which once ran through the valley, the monasteries, the three walls (one of which the remains were only recently discovered), and the Roman vestiges.
Visit the So Bento railway station and learn about its history, the site of a former Benedictine convent. This is also one of the landmarks of the city and one of the most beautiful train stations in the world.
Back on the street you will stroll up to the Caf□ Serrana, built by a very important architect in the city, the cathedral, and the Convent of Santa Clara for a visit behind the remains of the walls.
The tour goes on to the Casa do Infante to see roman mosaic, pottery, coins, tiles, and an amazing model of the city as it was in the 15th century. Then walk along the river to the tour's end at Ribeira Square.
