This tour commences at around 7am and you'll be collected from your hotel before that time. The journey to your destination, Barangay Concepcion, by a private van is about 1 to 2 hours.
Once at the location, you'll first go to the Visitor Center for a short orientation about the activity. Here, you'll be met by a local guide and some members of the tribe as well. You'll also be treated to a traditional Batak Dance. A gift to the people will also be given which consist mostly of rice, coffee and sugar.
After this, the local guide will assist you in making your way up to one of their villages to mingle with the other members of the tribe. The trek is about 1.5 hours across a couple of rivers. Upon arriving, you'll be given ample time to mingle with the people and watch how they go about their daily lives. Bottled water and crackers will be provided during the activity to ensure you're hydrated and you don't go hungry. On the other hands, your lunch is included in the activity and can be served upon your request.
As this is a private tour, you can just inform your guide when you're ready to go back down to the Visitor Center and ultimately, to your hotel.
