After pickup at your Palenque hotel in the morning, enjoy the roughly 1-hour ride to the Lacandon Jungle and the Lacanj□ River. Enjoy a light breakfast at a local roadside restaurant before continuing on to the day’s destination.

The real adventure begins when you reach the Lacanj□ River, which flows through the tropical jungle. Spend the next 2.5 hours voyaging on your durable raft through calm to intermediate waters past shores covered in lush vegetation.

Next, it’s time to hike through the Lacandon Jungle for approximately 2 hours. Listen the call of the monkeys and look for other native wildlife coyly hiding in the brush. Visit the archaeological site of the lost city of Lacanj□, an ancient city stranded in the middle of the jungle. Meet the people of Lacanj□ Chansayab, a Mayan village. Swim and relax at the serene Moctuniha waterfall before enjoying a late lunch and the return trip to Palenque, where you’ll be dropped back at your hotel.
