Visit the the heart of Shimla and experience the vibrancy and adventure hidden in tangled alleyways and crowded bazaars.
Begin your day like the locals, with a cup of chai tea at the local shop. Your experienced guide will then take you across the broad spectrum of Indian society, providing you with information about Shimla's culture along the way.
You'll visit the city’s famous monuments and temples. You'll also observe the traditional Hindu rituals at a temple dedicated to various Hindu gods. Then, you'll share a home-cooked lunch with a host family.
Additionally, you'll have the option to eat food from street vendors (at own expense), wander chaotic streets and alleyways, see the legacy of British imperialism at the British Raj and learn about India’s struggle for independence.
Revenue from this experience will be reinvested in KPYM Himachal, which provides lessons and education for children in the local mountain community.
