Jaswant, his wife, and his two daughters love to entertain guests and make them feel at home in India. Join them at their villa in Coimbatore and enjoy their beautiful garden. Jaswant loves the theater, live music and literary events. He runs an organization called The Cats and conducts musical shows, supper theater, and literary events in Coimbatore. He loves acting, singing and of course, cooking! His daughters excel at western-style dancing and they conduct classes locally.
Your culinary experience begins with a visit to the localfish and vegetable market selling fresh fish and produce. When you return home Jaswant will demonstrate how to prepare 2-3 South Indian dishes in his kitchen. You'll enjoy these freshly made dishes along with along with other prepared foods that may have been prepared in advance, all served with rice and Indian breads.
Jaswant specializes in meat vindaloos and kurmas that are enjoyed with Kerala-style breads, such as appam or puttu. You’ll finish your meal with one of his daughter delicious desserts, perhaps their tender coconut pudding.
