Toledo, located in Central Spain, is not only one of Spain’s most beautiful cities, but it is also a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site for its widespread cultural heritage and countless monuments. With this in mind, Toledo is an amazing city to explore and City Sightseeing Toledo makes your adventure an exciting one!
With 10 tour stops in total, passengers can hop on and hop off as they please, or stay on the tour for the full loop which takes roughly 50 minutes.
Stop 1 is located at the amazing Alcazar, one of the highest points in Toledo. Immediately, passengers on the bus will enjoy memorable panoramic views of the city, especially from our open-top deck! Keep your eye out for the San Servando Castle and Tajo River. The tour continues to another famous landmark, the Bisagra Gate, which was built in 1559 and remains amazingly well-preserved today. It is considered the main entrance to Toledo and is also iconic for carrying the coat of arms of former Emperor Charles V.
If you’d like to break up your tour and enjoy more amazing high-up views, hop-off at the Mirador Del Valle, another incredible viewpoint. If you visit Valle of an evening, you can watch the sunset over the whole of Toledo!
Continue your sightseeing as the tour heads towards the medieval bridge, Puente de San Martin, which crosses over the river Tagus. This bridge had to be rebuilt in the 14th century after large flooding in Toledo sank the previous bridge that was located here.
Another of the most interesting sights along this route includes the Hospital de Tavera, a special monument in Toledo, you can hop-off to admire its Renaissance style architecture and visit its museum.

The hop on hop off bus worked out great the driver was especially good at making a couple of photo stops and waiting for us to get back on the bus so we didn't have to wait 20 minutes or so for the next bus when we only wanted to take a quick few pictures. The commentary on the bus worked well too, except when a detour had to be made because of closed roads. The Alcazar Museum guide was excellent and when we had questions, he took the time to explain. We enjoyed our free glass of wine and tapa at the end of our tour!

It is a good option but you have to combine it with another tour, because this hop on hop off is mostly to see outside the city, not the area that is inside the wall. It goes inside the walls just a few points, because it is narrow.

While this tour didn't go into the inner city we got amazing views as we toured around the city and saw all of the vistas, we were able to hop off right by the escalator that took us up to the city where were able to walk around, It was late October and quite chilly so make sure you have a scarf and jacket.

Well worth doing. There is a short stop where you can get off the bus to take amazing pics of Toledo.
On a practical level its also a great way to get back to the train station at the end of the day.

Essentially a walking tour as the centre of the old city doesn't take buses. It pays to pre study some history as Toledo had a critical role in the assimilation of much western knowledge.
Worth it just to see El Entierro del Conde de Orgaz by El Greco.

It was very handy, but not knowing when it arrives was annoying. More so when you are waiting and the tempratures are realy high even in the shadow.

This was perfect because I also used it to get to the train station since they stopped there so rather than getting a taxi to and from the train station I used this since it works for a whole 24 hours from the you get on.
