After pick you up at 09:00am from the Mahon bus station, we drive toSon Bouwhere the bus will drop you off to the start of the Cam□ de Cavalls route on the longest beach in Menorca, which, with its 3 km long, forms the area humid rich of aquatic birds, called theAlbufera del Prat de Son Bou. On the white sand of the beach sits aPaleo-Christian Basilicathat is estimated from the period of the fifth century. Passed the beach of Son Bou, the route takes us toCala deLlucalari,a small virgin cove that is part of a protected area natural.
A short distance from this route, about 2 km, you can visit the largest Talayotic settlement on the island:Torred’en Galm□s.
Along the route, the Cam□ de Cavalls crossesthe ravine of Cala en Porter , the latter the most extensive of the island with its 12 km long dedicated to the cultivation of fruit trees.
The beach of Cala en Porter is located in the tourist resort that has the same name with white sand beach. In Cala en Porter we provide the first pickup for the return journey at 05:00pm.
On the way we pass fig trees and findCalescoveswhere there are more than one hundred prehistoric caves, which make it a site of great archaeological interest. Also here, there is a jetty and a coastal settlement from Roman times, surrounded by a prehistoric wall.
The Cam□ de Cavalls route ends at the tourist resort ofEs Canutellswhere the bus will pick you up at 5.20pm to return back to Mahon.
