After being picked up from your Cebu hotel, your heritage tour of Old Cebu begins with a visit to historic Fort San Pedro in Independence Park, where your knowledgeable guide will share facts about the Spanish conquest and Spain’s ongoing military presence.

Then step into a traditional horse-drawn carriage known as a calesa for a relaxing ride to Plaza Sugbo at City Hall. Continuing on foot, you’ll take a guided walking tour of Old Cebu’s historic sites, including the famous Magellan’s Cross, planted by the explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521. You’ll also enjoy a short walk to Cebu’s two landmark churches, the Basilica Minore del Santo Nio and the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral (the seat of the Archdiocese of Cebu).

After a look around the Museum of Sacred Treasures, take another calesa ride to Plaza Parian, surrounded by the elegant ancestral homes of Spanish and Chinese Filipinos. You’ll also see different eras from Cebu’s history depicted on the bronze Heritage Monument by Filipino artist Eduardo Castillo, and experience the life of 19th-century aristocrats on a visit to the Yap-Sandiego Ancestral House, home of the Casa Gorordo.

Your heritage tour of Old Cebu ends with a scenic coach journey down Colon Street, the country's oldest avenue, before being returned to your hotel.

Not a bad tour. Good way to see the highlights of Cebu.

Overall it was ok but we were disappointed that there was no horse-drawn carriage ride. For the price we paid which includes the ride, we felt ripped off. The guide was also not aware that our tour includes a horse-drawn carriage ride and after she checked with the office and found that it was not available she was apologetic and compensated with a tour to a guitar factory which was also a disappointment as there was nothing much there. The reason why we took on this tour was because we were intrigued by the horse-drawn carriage ride. Sad...
