If you are still searching for THE Amazon tour.... stop looking because this tour will be one of the best things you when visiting Peru. My boyfriend and I had the best time of our lives through this tour. We still talk about this tour daily and it was definitely our highlight of our Peru trip.

    Our Guide: MARDEN
Marden was our tour guide and he made our trip so authentic and simply perfect. He was extremely passionate about the jungle and always went out of his way to make sure our group got the best experience. After my boyfriend stepped in a fire ant hill please wear shoes in the jungle -___- Marden took us to the local village to knock on doors looking for a certain remedy the village use to stop the itch, something that he did not have to do. Another time was when we asked Marden if he can ask the cooks at the lodge to keep the piranha teeths from the piranhas that we caught earlier as souvenirs after eating it for dinner that night of course....YUM! Lastly, on our longest day we made a stop at an abandoned lodge to have lunch but the cooks that were supposed to make our meals did not show up so guess who stepped into the kitchen and cooked a meal for eight people and turning down any help offered? Marden. He truly made our trip and anyone taking this tour would be lucky to have him as a guide.

    Food:
ALWAYS delicious. Breakfast, lunch and dinner they will always feed you. Everything was fresh! Jungle potatoes, fish, rice, salads, juice, meat. Yes, they do have vegetarian options but our group were all meat eaters so they did not have that option at meal times. They always had coffee and tea and you will need it for the early morning boat ride to see the sunrise and to get you through the long days. They always have water for you so fill up those bottles before leaving for the day!

    The lodge:
Yes, this is the jungle. Mosquitoes, ants, spiders, frogs and all the bug family will be there so do not expect a five star vacation hotel. But this is what makes it such a great experience! Electricity ran from 6pm - 10pm which is more than enough to charge your phones and cameras for the next days. The lodge manager took great care of us and always made us feel comfortable and helped us with whatever we needed. In the early mornings make sure you grab some bananas and start monkey calling because we were lucky enough to feed a few monkeys but they only come in the mornings from who knows what part of the jungle.

    Should you do it?:
100 yes. This company will take great care of you from the moment your plane lands at the airport in Iquitos to your final destination either at the town or back to the airport. You get to hug and take pictures with a freakin sloth what more do I have to say?! You will try different foods, be uncomfortable but you cannot get a better experience elsewhere. We will be back one day to visit. :

This tour was amazing. I think they did a really good job making sure to hit a lot of the highlights if the area and balancing the adventure time with relaxation. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the food was fantastic. We had our 10 year old with us and I was worried that it would be too much for her, but she had a great time. I would highly recommend it!

This tour was life changing and personally challenging in a positive way. Our tour guide was Alex, an Amazon native. He was young, funny, vibrate, and named our group the Amazon Warriors, ironically. Our group consists of 4 women from USA.

Day 1....We were picked up from our AirBNB the local company is Viajes Pacifico. Then, we took a boat ride into the Amazon from Iquitos to a zoo and fed and saw piranhas and alligators. Then my favorite part we met Yagua native from the amazon. They performed a welcome ritual. Tip...bracelets are like 5 soles have small change to buy souvenirs. We arrived to our lodge Sinchicuy for lunch. Lunch was awesome we had rice, beans, salad, plantains, fried yuca, and meat was fish. I informed them that I was vegan and they were accommodating. The rooms were clean you have your own bathroom and they provided towels and soap. NO ELECTRICITY until 6pm-10pm enough to charge your electronics for the next day dinner and bath. Signal enough to make phone call/text no social media but its part of the experience to disconnect lol. The water is cold but its part of the experience. We also had a jungle tour at night that was scary I thought I was in one of those Cabin Fever movies but the staff takes good care of you and are reliable.

Day 2...More wildlife search and day time jungle walk. A lot of mosquitos in this area I wore my jacket the whole time bring sunscreen repellent and hat. Lunch the same rice, fish, salad, plantains all good. They went piranha fishing and actually made a few catches. Back to the lodge for dinner and ghost stories. My group decided to hit the bar this night.

Day 3.... Rescue zoo took pictures with sloth and saw monkeys, alligators, turtles, tucan birds. We made sugar cane shots and bought their homemade alcohol each bottle was 10 USD they also accepted visa but we paid in cash. We had lunch before drop off to the airport.
Overall great experience thanks to our tour guide Alex and group. We really did mesh well. Will always remember and keep in heart this experience.

Well planned out. Our guide was with us from picking us up at the airport to dropping us off. The only concerns was the lodge was a bit shabby. Our room had bird droppings on the floor, ants in the shower, and doors that would not close.

I loved this tour!! I had an absolute ball! Only downside was it was just me and then 3 Spanish speaking girls so the tour guide tended to speak Spanish most of the time and I got short translations afterwards but the experience was amazing! The lodge is great and although you have no power for majority of the day, it really allows you to connect with your environment and enjoy it! The activities were great: we met with a tribe and went for some nature walks, went piranha fishing and ate them!!, visited a local school, visited an animal sanctuary where we actually got to hold the animals - sloths, snakes, parrots, monkeys. Everything is included in the tour so no need for any extra money except drinks at the bar in the lodge if you want. The boat rides everywhere were great, really friendly team! Highly recommend this tour!!

The tour was perfect and unforgettable. Our tour guide was so friendly and informative. We were very lucky to see the pink dolpins several times during the tour. The food in the lodge was delicious and healthy. There was no hot water in the lodge but the room was pretty comfortable. You can charge your electronic devices at around 6pm to 9pm every day. Overall, the trip was amazing and we highly recommend.

Fabulous experience. In my group, there were supposed to be two other people but they arrived a day late so i was super lucky to get private tour. The lodge was awesome, great food, great people and great tour. Lodge manager, Franco. was an amazing host. Not only I got to hear so many cultural stories about Peru, but also he recommended a lot of places to visit in Lima. My tour guide, Celeste, was awesome as well. She knew so much about the jungle. I also got to hear about her experience in the reserve. I will definitely come back to Amazonas to explore the reserve area.

Fantastic experience! We had a great time, cruising on the river, fishing for and catching pirahna, seeing lots of bird life and the pink and grey dolphins. The lodge itself was quite comfortable, the food was great and Franko, our host was excellent.
