DAY 1 : Marrakech Telouet A t Ben Haddou Ouarzazate You will be met at your accommodation in Marrakech at 08:30am. You’ll head out of the city, passing through the spectacular scenery of the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 7,415 ft (2,260m) it’s Morocco’s highest mountain pass. Your first main stop is the 18th century Kasbah Telouet. You follow the same mountain route until arriving at A t Ben Haddou where you will have a private tour of this historic and fascinating fortified city and the location backdrop for numerous Hollywood blockbusters. After a break for lunch, you continue our journey to your luxury hotel in Ouarzazate, exclusive of evening meal but inclusive of breakfast.
DAY 2 : Ouarzazate Rissani Merzouga Erg Chebbi Today, you set off in the direction of Zagora. Shortly after the town of Agdz, you take the Route R108 to Nkob. With the Saghrou Mountains as the backdrop for this part of the journey, the scenery is a wild and almost barren region of striking rock formations and panoramic views of gorges. On reaching Rissani you are around a half hour’s drive from Merzouga which will be the end of your 4x4 journey for the day…and the beginning of your camel trek. Here, you will be introduced to your Berber guides and hosts who will accompany you on your camel trek as the sun sets to the desert camp inclusive of an evening meal and entertainment.
DAY 3 : Erg Chebbi Merzouga Todra Gorge Dades Gorge After enjoying the wonderful Saharan landscape at the break of dawn, it’s then time to climb aboard your camels for the trek back to meet up with your driver and 4x4 for the next part of the tour which will take on a different route back to the High Atlas Mountains. You will have the opportunity to shower, change and take breakfast after the camel trek before heading to the spectacular Todra Gorge. Lunch at a traditional restaurant within the magnificent setting of the Todra Gorge. Your driver will then accompany you to your accommodation for the evening at a luxury hotel in the Dades Valley, inclusive of evening meal and breakfast.
DAY 4 : Dades Valley Marrakech After breakfast, your driver and guide will meet you at your hotel for the final leg of your tour that will take you back to Marrakech. The stunning scenery en route will help the journey pass quickly and there will be ample opportunities to take breaks during the journey. En route we pass through the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs and through the Skoura Valley. You will head into Ouarzazate once more before picking up the Route N9, which takes you through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. The N9 descends to Marrakech where you will return to your accommodation.
