Cruise through the waters of the Sea of Cortez exploring the islands. Anticipate encounters with whales, dolphins, sea lions, seabirds and array of undersea life. Snorkel, kayak and hike the desert islands learning about the flora, fauna and geology of the volcanic islands.
Participate in both of our “Wildlife Conservation Projects”; a sea turtle monitoring program and assisting in whale shark research. This is an amazing opportunity to participate in the conservation of our marine life on a global level.
One of our many adventures takes us, by van, across to the pacific side of the peninsula. There you will experience, first hand, life of the gray whales in their birthing lagoon of Magdalena Bay.
Experiences like these are extraordinary, and often life changing, leaving our guests with memories of a lifetime. This expedition offers some of the rarest marine life encounters one could have on a single expedition.
Menu - Our meals consist of a variety of healthy and nutritious foods including fresh fruits, vegetables and meats. The ships cuisine reflects the Mexican culture and most dietary needs can be accommodated with advanced notice. Menu examples include; fresh fish, Filet Mignon, Chicken Cordon Bleu and fresh blended alcohol and non-alcohol beverages.
Expedition Staff - The expedition leader, Lela Sankeralli, brings to the expedition a science based educational component with 30 years of experience in teaching marine sciences and natural history in the Baja. Accompanied by a second naturalist/biologist, our goal is to blend adventure travel with environmental awareness, providing participants with an unforgettable cultural and educational experience.
Ships Crew - The Captain(s), engineer and crew are onboard to insure the safety and well-being of the group. They bring many years of marine experience in the Sea of Cortez and offer the warmth and kindness that reflects the beauty and hospitality of the people of Baja, Mexico.
Ship Information - The "MV Adventure” is a 110’ aluminum hull ship. As a certified passenger vessel, all crew, vessel paperwork, safety and navigation equipment meet the legal requirements under the “Nacional de Seguridad Maritima” laws. The multiple level decks are ideal for wildlife viewing and accommodations are private staterooms with single berths (upper/lower), double/quad occupancy. Each stateroom comes complete with air conditioning, cupboards and draws to un-pack in, sink/vanity and comfortable spacious bunks. Shared restrooms and showers are separate to the staterooms.
