Highlight of our trip. Fantastic to be able to speak with the Maiko and ask questions etc. Dinner was fabulous and important to be brave and try everything as you will be surprised how delicious everything is. I thought the drinking games may be tacky but they were very funny and delightful. It is not cheap but is worth it.

We loved this experience! The Maiko performed dances and played music and even played some drinking games. They taught us all about the history of the Geikos and how they differ from the Geishas. We also played some other games and they gave us prizes.
The food was delicious too. Most of it is made with seafood, so make sure to ask for a special meal if you can't eat fish.

This event was so beautiful and authentically Japanese, that I could not believe that I was there. The maiko was funny, beautiful and skilled in entertaining a room full of people. This girl was truly on her way to becoming a geisha. The whole geisha district had a special mystic feel about it but to experience their old-world charm and skill was something beyond movies. The reality was far greater than any description in a book - you have to meet them and experience the night for yourself. Be adventurous and be immersed in the mysticism of ancient Japan with their music, costumes and grace.

This was an amazing experience for me and my 15 year old daughter. She was fascinated by one of the young geishas. The performances and games were entertaining and we spoke with one of the performers who gave us her backstory. The only change I would make is to have the host explain what we ate.

A fantastic evening, of wonderful, unusual food and brilliant entertainment. It was fascinating to get an insight into the world of geishas in Japan.

This was perhaps the most interesting tour we took the entire trip. Gave us a glimpse into the world of Geishas that we would have not been able to have otherwise. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend this dinner in Kyoto! The food was amazing and they let you select your all-you-can-drink beverage. They have both alcoholic and non alcoholic selections. I recommend the cold sake. The maiko performance and interaction with the guests was fun. Be prepared for drinking games!

Good to be able to see a performance. You then get a maiko who goes to each table for about 10mins and answer any questions you may have for them regarding the performance or lifestyle etc.

This tour was amazing!

A fifteen minute presentation of classical dance and learning about the distinguished formal training of a Maiko. All the sanctity, nobility and dignity of the art of the Maiko was lost as she got down on all fours for drinking games. If I had known that over half of the two hour event, that cost 175 per person, was drinking games I would have spent my money elsewhere. Buyer beware.
