Acropolis of Athens Tour (1.5 Hours)

Meet your guide in central Athens, and then set off along the tree-lined streets to the UNESCO-listed Acropolis of Athens archaeological site.

Pay your entrance fee and head inside via the south slope to avoid the main crowds. On the way, visit the Theatre of Dionysus, a 5th-century amphitheater often cited as the birthplace of the performing arts, and the Dionysus Sanctuary, a site dedicated to the Greek god of wine and fertility.

Ascend the sacred hill, stopping to see and learn about sights such as the Parthenon, Propylaea gateway, Erechtheion and the Temple of Athena Nike. At the top, drink in panoramic views of Athens and listen as your guide shares knowledgeable insight of the citadel’s ruins.

Your tour concludes at the acropolis' summit, leaving you free to continue exploring the site at your own leisure.

Athens Small-Group Food Tour (3 Hours)

Make your own way to Panepistimio Metro Station in central Athens to meet your guide and begin your culinary journey of taste, color, smell and texture in the heart of Athens’ historic city center.

With your food-loving guide leading the way, spend roughly three hours visiting delicatessens, bakeries, restaurants, dairies, spice merchants, grocery stores and pie shops, where you’ll sample traditional Greek food, including koulouri, a circular bread with sesame seeds.

As you stroll from eatery to eatery, learn about the unique and intricate culinary heritage of Greece, as well as the famous Mediterranean diet, hailed today as a model of healthy living. Visit, too, the vibrant Varvakeios food market whose bustling atmosphere and aromatic fruit, spice, meat and fish stalls make for a truly cultural experience.
