Meet your guide in central Munich and start your walking tour with a stroll through town. Home to the famous beer festival of Oktoberfest, Munich boasts centuries of brewing heritage and you’ll hear all about it as you walk.

Learn how the festival has developed over the decades and gain insight into its organization and history. Then, stroll through the Oktoberfest grounds of Theresienwiese, named after Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen, the wife of Crown Prince Ludwig I. Hear how the couple were married in 1810 and how Oktoberfest is held in the same spot each year to celebrate their union.

When your walking tour of the site ends, head inside the vibrant Kfer's Wies’n-Schnke where your reserved table awaits. Take your seat, and tuck into your brotzeit platter, which includes traditional Bavarian bread, cheese, mixed meat, onions and pickles, alongside beer from the Paulaner brewery. As the beer-fuelled celebrations ramp up, soak up the atmosphere and listen to live music from the brass band.

After roughly six hours, leave the tent to conclude your Oktoberfest experience.
