Start your tour with a pickup from your Cologne hotel, and travel into the center of town with your private guide. While relaxing in the comfort of your air-conditioned minivan, chat with your guide about the places on your itinerary, and if you would perhaps like to focus on one area more than another, simply let your guide know.
The first stop on your sightseeing tour is Cologne Cathedral (Klner Dom), the city’s symbolic landmark and one of Germany’s most striking Gothic monuments. Learn about the Roman Catholic cathedral from the outside of the building while admiring its large frontal facade, and then head inside to explore independently.
After strolling around the captivating place of worship, meet back up with your guide by the entrance, and continue by minivan to Cologne Old Town, where the bounty of the city's sights can be found. Admire the Renaissance architecture of Cologne City Hall, pose for photos outside Great St Martin Church, and see the intriguing Dionysus mosaic on a brief visit to the Roman-German Museum.
Hear tales of Cologne’s history and culture while stretching your legs on the streets, and learn about the city’s Jewish heritage. Another sight seen on your tour is the historical mikveh (Jewish ritual bath), that’s considered one of the most important Jewish sights in Cologne.
Make your way along the winding Cologne Old Town alleyways that curve around historical buildings, and then hop out of your minivan to stroll through the bustling squares of Roncalliplatz, Alter Markt and Heumarkt. Finally, finish your private tour with a hotel drop-off.
