Take a weekend break and travel across the English Channel to the Southern British Island of Wight. The island is known for its natural beauty and world famous sailing base as well as Osborne House, the royal seaside palace of Queen Victoria and her family. This 2-day overnight trip includes transport from and to central London, hotel accommodation with breakfast, a visit to the famous Needles, entrance to Osborne House, return luxury coach, ferry travel to and from the island and the services of a tour manager.

Itinerary

Day 1: Isle of Wight

Stop At: Osborne House, East Cowes, Isle of Wight, England
07:30 - After our London pick-ups we travel by coach to Southampton where we’ll board the Red Funnel Ferry to cross the Solent to East Cowes on the Isle of Wight.
10:00 - Ferry crossing from Southampton to East Cowes.
11:00 - Approximate arrival in Isle of Wight. We’ll then travel to Osborne House- the seaside palace of Queen Victoria and her family.
Entrance and free time is included to explore the area before we head to Sandown (on some weekends Shanklin) to check into our hotel.
The rest of the day will be for you to enjoy the popular seaside town of Sandown/Shanklin at your leisure.
Duration: 12 hours

Day 2: Isle of Wight

Stop At: Godshill Model Village, Godshill, Isle of Wight, England
08:00 - After breakfast, meet your coach & tour manager outside the hotel. for another day of sightseeing on the Island.
During the day we’ll visit Godshill (has its own model village).
We’ll also venture to the opposite side of the Island you will get the chance to take a photo of the island's famous Needles. The Needles were featured on the TV Programme “Seven Natural Wonders” as one of the wonders of the South!
17:30 - Ferry crossing from East Cowes to Southampton.
21:30 - Approximate arrival back into central London after a weekend on the Isle of Wight.

Ann was a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide. She obviously loves her island.

Anything that could have gone wrong with this tour did. We were late leaving London. We missed the boat. The driver just waited around and didn't try and get the bus on board. The passengers had to find out what was wrong and contact the company. When we finally got on the boat 2 hours late the bus didn't get on board so we then had to walk to the first stop. We missed one of the stops because there wasn't enough time to include it. I would not recommend this tour company at all.

The tour guide wasn't good and acting like a teacher. Didn't get much time to spend on the Needles as the guide was always in a rush and kept shouting. I recommend everyone to check the weather and then book this trip, the place is really nice.

Osborne House was great but some of the other stops were too long with little to see. The hotel was very basic with average breakfast. Being sailors we would have liked to have some time at Cowes.
