On this full day tour, you will visit three of the most beautiful villages of the Costa Brava, Calella, Llafranc and Begur. From the lighthouse in Llafranc you will see the beauty of the landscape, you will walk along the coast on the path between Calella and Llafranc, and see the houses of the Indianos. From the Castle of Begur you'll see all the coast line, and their fortified houses to protect themselves from the Pirate attacks. You can also visit two Romanesque villages Pals and Peratallada, with its narrow streets, walls, moats, you will feel transported to the Middle Ages.

At 8:30am you will be picked up from your Hotel in Girona (free pick-up and drop off service from Girona city). You will be taken across the plain of the Giron□s and Baix Empord□ until you reach Llafranc. From the lighthouse (165m) you will see the coastline and the village with its houses scattered across the hills. Llafranc is within easy walking distance of other similar town, such as Calella de Palafrugell.
When you reach Calella de Palafrugell, it seems that time stands still. Low and whitewashed cottages have been renovated but retain all the charm of yesteryear. There are also Indiano Colonial-style houses. To finish the visit to the Costa Brava, you will go to the village of Begur, located in the heart of Empord□. There you will see the striking silhouette of the medieval castle overlooking the town, its colonial-style houses and old fishermen's huts. At 12pm you will be taken inland to the medieval town of Pals. You will see defense wall along with the Gothic quarter with cobbled streets.
Lunch will be served in Pals, where you will be able to taste locally grown rice (lunch is not included). After lunch you will drive to Peratallada, the name is derived from pedra tallada, meaning 'carved stone'. Much of the town is made of stone and the privately owned Castle of Peratallada is positioned in the center of the town. At 5.30pm the tour leaves Peratallada to head back to Girona. You will arrive back at your hotel in Girona at approximately 6.15pm.
The tour operates with a maximum of 7 passengers and the van is equipped with aircon and free cold water.

We had a great day out with Susanna and Carme visiting some stunning locations along the coast. Both are very knowledgeable, friendly and were happy to answer all our questions, including those in relation to the imminent referendum on the region's independence.

Would highly recommend this trip!

I do not like tours and intentionally avoid them. We booked this tour because I really wanted to see a bit of Costa Brava but didn't want to drive. We could not have been more delighted with our experience! Carme was very sweet and efficient, made sure things ran smoothly. She was knowledgeable and supportive throughout the trip. Marc, our guide, was a truly fabulous gem in every way. He is so personable, kind, great English, accommodating in all ways. He is extremely knowledgeable about local history, culture and beauty in the area. We learned about pirates, castles, agriculture, community, travel suggestions, customs--he was a font of knowledge. What's more, Marc actually wants to take pictures so we have awesome shots of my daughter and me together! We ate like royalty in Pals, which I never would have even known existed if it weren't for Marc and Carme! He even encouraged us to see more of Girona and we kept speaking of him after our tour, grateful for his suggestions. I so highly recommend this or any tour with Marc and Carme. You will come back enriched with knowledge, experience and a thirst for more! You rock, Marc!

I cannot recommend Carmen and Marc enough! We stayed in the medieval city of Girona, and enjoyed our tours with them immensely. Our trip would not have been the same. The trips were nice since they were more than just a drive by experience. We were able to walk, enjoy the beach views, have lunch, and enjoy a few glasses of wine while sampling the wonderful landscapes of Costa Brava. The van was new, comfortable, and clean. They provided water, answer all of our silly questions about the region, and even helped us with our Spanish. They felt like family to us. We even paid them to transport us to back to Barcelona for our flight! You cannot wrong by using this company!! It was private, and very lovely!

We had the best day with Susanna and Carme. They both had awesome personalities and great knowledge of the region snd Spain in general. Really enjoyed the walk between two small towns on the Costa Brava. Would highly recommend.
