Meet your expert local guide at the Tours, Tapas & Friends Gastronomic Centre in central Barcelona to begin this tasty tour.

With your guide leading the session, savor four delicious varietals of Spanish wine: Rioja, Priorat, ribera, and cava, the sparkling white wine made in Catalonia. As you sample the different wine, learn about the history of Spanish wine and its place in Spanish culinary culture, as well as, about the different grapes that grow on the Iberian peninsula.

After your wine tasting, follow your guide through the narrow streets of the city center to a trendy restaurant that used to be a delicatessen. Here, learn from the food expert how to properly pair Spanish wine with local cheese and meat. Munch on manchego cheese, chorizo, and bread. Savor the famous Iberian ham, often referred to as the ‘Baluga caviar of cured meats.'

At the end of the tour, you’ll be satiated with good wine and food and have excellent knowledge on Spanish eating and drinking traditions.
