Stop At: Duomo di Ravello, Ravello, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania

Built in the eleventh century with the support of the Rufolo family, the Duomo is a combination of Baroque and Romanesque style. Dedicated to San Pantaleone, the church has undergone extensive changes and renovations over the last 900 years. The splendid white facade of the Duomo dates back to the last major restoration in 1931. The bell tower of the Duomo, which dates back to the 13th century, shows the Moresca and Byzantine influence.

Stop At: Villa Rufolo, Ravello, Amalfi Coast, Province of Salerno, Campania

Built by a wealthy merchant family in the 13th century, the villa has a rich and intense past. Boccaccio, one of the first authors of the Italian Renaissance, wrote a short story telling of the villa and its owner in his "Decameron", which was published in 1353.
At its origins, it was one of the largest and most expensive villas on the Amalfi Coast, and several legends grew about a treasure hidden inside

The Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, or Duomo, is certainly one of the most characteristic monuments of the Amalfi coast and of Amalfi itself: the faade on several levels, the imposing staircase and the black and white that contrasts harmoniously with the colors of the facade make it , in fact, immediately recognizable. The church was founded in the ninth century, when Amalfi was one of the maritime republics, and remodeled in 1200 with the Arab-Norman style then so fashionable. He had two other restorations, one in the second half of the 1500s and another one in the 19th century following a collapse. Next to the bell tower, covered with majolica tiles.

This was a very nice tour. Ravello was a hidden treasure not over run by other tourists. The bus driver was amazing, we felt safe going around those steep curves. The tour guide was great. Really enjoyed this tour. Would recommend if you are looking for a beautiful drive up the Amalfi coast and a visit to the beautiful town of Ravello. We had the option to take a boat along the coast. So worth the time and money! Amazing day.

Excellent! Salvatore, our bus driver was great. Rosella was very knowledgable, and spoke many languages, English, French, Italian keeping everyone informed and engaged! I highly recommend mend this tour. It would be difficult to see the area independently and hear/learn everything about the areas we visited.

Beautfulbeautfulbeautful! Excellent driver and guide. Our guide Alberio kept us informed and entertained the whole time. Only disappointment was that we were dropped off in the wrong place and had to walk to our bus stop in the rain. Should be a pick up and drop off from hotel. We had to pay 25 Euros for a taxi! Otherwise would have got a 5 star review

Amalfi and Ravello was another good trip we had arranged for our holiday. First stop from Sorrento was along the Amalfi Coastal towns including Positano before stopping in Amalfi. There was a choice of taking in a 45 minute boat tour of the coast or spending the extra time in Amalfi.

We went on the boat tour and the coast line was spectacular and well worth the trip, after this we had a little time left in Amalfi where my wife and I went to the Cathedral which was beautiful inside. Our time in Amalfi was up so it was off to the next destination and we stopped in a small village called Scala for lunch, this looks over to Ravello and is only a 5 minute bus journey.

Once we arrived in Ravello it is a quaint town with only a couple of streets of shops so not much time was given.

I must say the tour guide was very good throughout and the driver was also excellent, the roads at Amalfi are very narrow with not much room for oncoming traffic.
