Day 1: Rome Siena Florence (D)
Start your tour by hopping aboard a coach for Siena, the beautiful medieval city renowned for the Palio horse race. For lunch, consider a taste of typical local dishes such as "pici," homemade pasta. You'll arrive in Florence in the afternoon and enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight: 4-star Grand Hotel Adriatic in Florence
Day 2: Florence (B)
After breakfast, meet your guide for a morning walking tour around the city. Starting from Piazza del Duomo, stroll to Ponte Vecchio, then on to Piazza della Signoria and up to the central avenues, where you'll find authentic Renaissance-era masterpieces. Highlights include Florence Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), Giotto’s Bell Tower, and Santa Croce, a 13th-century Franciscan church that’s home to Cimabue’s famous "Crucifix" painting.
End in the very heart of Florence─perfect for continuing independently if you wish. Then return to your hotel and spend the rest of your evening at leisure.
Overnight: 4-star Grand Hotel Adriatic in Florence
Day 3: Florence Verona Venice (B, D)
After an American buffet breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart to Venice. Your coach makes a stop in Verona along the way. Famously the setting for Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet," this enticing Veneto city has gained UNESCO status for its collection of monuments from eras dating back to 1st century BC.
On arrival in Venice, take a boat ride to St. Mark’s Square where you will meet a local guide to introduce you to significant monuments, such as the Doge’s Palace and Clock Tower. Learn of the doges who once ruled Venice by dastardly means, and then visit the Bridge of Sighs where prisoners were led before being locked away. Check in to your hotel in time for dinner.
Overnight: 4-star Hotel Villa Mabapa/Hotel Biasutti in Venice
Day 4: Venice Murano (B)
Relax over breakfast and then take a boat ride to Murano, a cluster of tiny islands in the Venetian lagoon. Once a significant commercial port, Murano gained a reputation for glassmaking at the start of the 13th century, producing items that were (at that time) either rare or non-existent in Europe. Watch a glass-blowing demonstration inside a Murano workshop and see local glassmakers in action. After some free time here to sightsee or to shop for quality Murano glass souvenirs, return to your hotel by boat and spend your night at leisure.
Overnight: 4-star Hotel Villa Mabapa/Hotel Biasutti in Venice
Day 5: Venice Italian Lakes Milan (B, D)
After an American buffet breakfast at the hotel, check out and depart for Sirmione at Lake Garda, and explore the little peninsula town with your guide. Admire its colorful streets, Roman ruins, and the 13th-century Scaligero Castle─all set against the picturesque backdrop of Italy’s largest lake─and enjoy some free time for lunch (own expense). Later, hop back on board your coach and visit stunning Lake Como in the foothills of the Rhaetain Alps. Walk around one of the lake’s waterfront villages and soak up the relaxed atmosphere of Italian lakeside life.
Then depart to Milan for a city sightseeing tour by coach. Gaze in awe at Milan Duomo─one of Europe’s most striking examples of Gothic architecture. Admire Castello Sforzesco, Milan’s Renaissance pride and joy, and learn of the important museums that it now houses.
In the evening check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner.
Overnight: 4-star Hotel Antares Concorde in Milan (Viale Monza)
Day 6: Milan La Spezia Portovenere Vernazza Monterosso Lucca (B, D)
After breakfast, leave Milan and travel to La Spezia for an unforgettable day in Cinque Terre. Here you'll discover some of the most enchanting landscapes. Reach the first village of Portovenere, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its picturesque harbor is lined with brightly colored houses and narrow, medieval streets. By boat you'll reach Vernazza, a characteristic fishing village, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The last stop will be in Monterosso, the largest of the five coastal villages.
In the late afternoon, return to La Spezia by train and take the coach to Lucca. With your guide, stroll the cobblestone streets and bustling piazzas to the old Renaissance walls. At the end of the walk, you'll transfer to your hotel for check-in and dinner.
Overnight: 4-star hotel in Lucca
Day 7: Lucca Pisa Montepulciano Rome (B)
After breakfast, leave Lucca behind and depart for Pisa. Here, set off on a walking tour through the heart of the city. Admire Cathedral Square with the Pisa Duomo, Campo Santo, Pisa Baptistry, and the Leaning Tower of Pisa─a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take free time for lunch and shopping before your departure.
Your coach crosses into Val D'Orcia, an area famous for its wine production and scenic landscapes, symbolic of the Tuscan region. Enjoy a stop in Montepulciano, the area's most emblematic town, for a taste of local wines.
The weeklong itinerary ends in Rome upon arrival in the evening.

Be prepared to walk! Days are early and nights are long but you do get to see all that this tour promised. Hotels were more like 3 than 4, meals were adequate but you really do get a taste of Italy. Our tour guide Nicole was so well organized, we actually got to sneak in some shopping along the way. Thanks Nicole!

Got to see so many places but didn't feel rushed which is incredible!. There were usually tours in the mornings and then the afternoons free to ourselves, which was great to see more of what we wanted to see that maybe the rest of the group didn't or to relax and people watch while we ate gelato. We usually came together again at dinner time part of the tour included some of the dinners. Being with the same small group and tour guide meant that it felt like a group of friends who had their separate adventures during the day and shared their stories over dinner each night!

One of the worst tour I had taken. Guide was too lazy to do any guiding and wasted too much time on the bus, which he could have used to give us more info. Meals and hotel rooms were minimal and only that in Venice was adequate. On the way to Milan, it was stated we shall visit Lake Como but we were left at a park at the edge of the lake for 20 minutes and nothing else except a glance of the lake on the bus on the highway! Fortunately, we had a great group16 of us and had no problem with each other. This Tour needs to trim the number of towns to visit Assisi sight in less than 30 minutes? Just enough time to walk through and take a few snap shots! and find more willing to work guides.

My spouse and I had a great time. This is a perfect trip for people traveling Italy the first time. Everything in the itinerary was covered. The tour is well organized, not to mention our tour director Nicola who is very professional and always encourages everyone to be punctual so that we can have more free time on our own. Local guides were informative and knowledgeable regarding the site. Among the hotel that we checked in, we didn't like Hotel Villafranca. Dinner is just okay to satisfy your hunger. It was an enjoyable experience.

This is a good tour. My only complain is that the dinner food being serve at Hotel Continental Venice food is terrible. Aside from that, everything is ok.

Really enjoyed seeing so much in a short time. Hotel in Rome not so nice but good service made it better. Some of the meals were not great, but for the price of this tour, you could easily go eat dinner elsewhere and still have it be good value. Extremely well organized. We didn't have any problems at all thanks to our tour manager. Good value, lovely 'hit the highlights' tour of a few regions of Italy.

Great overview of Italy! The tour leader, Pier, ran a slick operation and the timings worked well in terms of how much time you had at each place. It did feel a bit like a Catholic pilgrimage (loads of visits to churches).
The hotels are average, but clean and relatively comfortable. Food was decent enough. The trip is good value for money. Guides in each town are knowledgeable and friendly.
A definite recommendation, but please note this is more a 6-day tour but still worthwhile.
There is a fair amount of walking but at a comfortable pace and optional extras to Pisa, a gondola ride in Venice and a boat trip around Lake Garda were enjoyable experiences.
