Our guide was great! We saw all the major sights except for the trevi fountain because of construction. The only issue is that because the port is so far they left a little early so that we didn't miss our ship but we ended up being back with a couple hours to spare that I would have rather spent in rome. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and spoke great english. Great knowledge!

Tour was teriffic. Allesandra was our guide and she was excellent. really nice overview of Rome. Only downside was hooking up with our tour bus at port. instructions/directions were a little vague. there were some of our group that did not arrive on time and were left behind.

The tour guide had a harsh pronunciation of the English that was somewhat hard to understand. We also missed that this was a walking tour. For people with some limitations, the fast paced walk on cobblestone was very taxing.
Yes, we did see Rome close up but with a 20 minutes bathroom, including lunch break, and another 20 minute shopping break. It was a tough trek.

This tour was a disaster from start to finish. Our directions from Viator said that someone would meet us at the meeting point with a sign with our names on it. No one was there with our names but a man who had nothing to connect him with the company was saying that's me. We said we were waiting for someone with the sign with our names on it and he said what sign you want a sign from God. That comment was very offensive to us. There were other people there in the same position and this man ended up calling for a bus and putting us all into one excursion. Needless to say none of us got the excursion that we had signed up for. By the time it was settled we were very late getting into Rome not getting there until 11:45. We had to leave at 3:30 so the guide that met us there decided to make it walking tour so for 4 hours she walked us briskly around the coliseum area. We had no restroom breaks, no coffee breaks and no lunch break. We get more than that at work for goodness sake. At 3:30 she escorted us back to the bus and said goodbye to us. On the way back to the ship we were ensnarled in traffic due to an accident. It eventually became obvious that we were not going to make it back to the ship on time and some people on board became extremely nervous. Unfortunately the driver was alone and could not communicate with any of us and as a result could not put anyone's fears to rest at all. It was not a good experience.

GREAT! Call Alessandra Neri. She is terrific. Uncle and I spent a marvelous day with her...perfect English, smart, pleasant..could not have been any better...and she gave us lots of little personal stuff about the city. Well, it's not a city. It's a magnificent open, outdoor Museum. That's what it is. And having Alessandra as our guide, all for ourselves, was wonderful.

No problem getting into Rome. We arrived early at the pick up point, and asked several drivers if this was the bus we were to go back to the ship on. All answered no, even the driver that dropped us off that morning, which we recognized, said no. When other people that traveled in with us arrived, it was the right bus. But we departed later than the time stated and I was getting worried. So, I had arranged with a man driving a smaller van back to the port to travel with him for a total of 40.00.

This could have been a wonderful tour but we were more than 30 minutes late getting started. The bus could not be boarded until we took off because tour group must not have slot in loading area. So we stood around looking for guide who only arrived 10 minutes before tour with tiny 8x10 sing with all the names typed on it. Why not a big sign so we didn't have to hunt for tour. Evidently we were combined with another tour which we dropped off at the Vatican and met our guide. The head phones should have been distributed on the bus so we didn't have to waste 10 min. passing out. We went to Trevi Fountain which couldn't be seen because of construction, went to Spainish steps and spent 55 min because people were last from returning to lunch. We went to Pantheon but could just look inside because we didn't have time. We did not even stop at the Vatican because we had to get back to pick up other group which took 25 minutes. Very disappointed. I took a Viator tour 2 years ago of Rome and loved it. This one was bad.

Tour changed by operator to skip the line Vatican - would have preferred ordinal guided walking tour booked. Wasted 45 mins on pick up waiting to passengers. All that was provided was a coach transfer to and from Rome. We had to find location of where to collect skip the line Vatican and then make our own way to Colosseum for transfer back - ended up being a very stressful day - all participants on tour agreed. Would not recommend,
