Meet your local guide in central Florence and begin your 3-hour gourmet tour of the city! Italians usually start their morning at a caf□ with a strong cup of coffee, so follow your guide to a typical Italian coffee bar, where you can try two types of delicious coffee and learn about the local roasting process.
Continue to an old delicatessen founded in 1885, where you’ll enjoy a panino tartufato, a delicate, truffle pt□ sandwich made with the truffles for which the deli is famous. As you continue to your next food stop, listen as your guide illustrates the history of Florence’s most important squares where Florentines used to buy their food. Learn about typical local dishes and ingredients, but don’t expect detailed how to’s Italians would never give away their secret family recipes!
To understand how Italians prepare their delicious plates, take a trip to the San Lorenzo Central Market, one of the main shopping centers in Florence known for fresh, locally grown ingredients. Taste some of the region’s best balsamic vinegars and extra virgin olive oils with crostini, traditional toasted Italian bread.
Your tour continues to a local wine shop, known as an enoteca, where you'll savor two Tuscan wines, accompanied by delicious regional cheeses and local meats. While you enjoy your tasting, learn about the origins of the food and wine from your guide. Top it off with something sweet at the final stop of your tour, one of Florence's best gelato shops where you’ll indulge in freshly made gelato!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed the tour. I like that we saw places at different price points and there were options to go back and try more things later. The coffee shop was a spot we went back too a couple of times.

This was a fantastic tour. I recommend everyone start their vacation with a food tour - it's a great way to see the city and find delicious spots for future meals! We had a great guide and the food/coffee/vinegar was amazing. The market was my favorite stop. But we did go back to the wine shop two times while we were there to stock up on wine for our apartment. :

The Florence Food Walking Tour was a great experience. I would highly recommend this tour. Valentina was a great tour guide, knowledgeable, entertaining and fun to be with.
We had a lovely fun group from France, America, Australia and England and we had a lovely time.
The highlight for me was the wine tasting with commentary from an award winning sommelier. The snacks that accompanied the wine were lovely as well.
The tour of the market with olive oil tasting, ham and salami, beer and of course the truffle sandwich and the fabulous gelato to complete the trip made this a fabulous tour.
Just book this tour - you will not be disappointed

This food tour was fantastic, and one that everyone in my family enjoyed. I was a little thrown off when I saw that our tour was through a Segway company, but it was clear early on that it didn't matter at all. We went to several little places and then spent some time touring the food market. We had both wine and tasty food! I would be totally willing to do this same tour again. If you leave hungry, it's your fault!

This is a MUST DO while visiting in Florence. I can not recommend this tour enough. Our guide was a passionate local who helped us discover the lesser known pleasures of food and wine while in Florence. The tour based on the other side of the Arno and is only a short walk over the Ponte Vecchio. This area comes to life at night so this sunset tour was perfect. So much food, so many insights... do this tour!
