Your workshop at Nice's Molinard perfume store begins with an introduction to the history and production of French perfume from your instructor, an expert perfume-maker.
Discover the origins of some of the most famous and beloved perfumes, and learn the key ingredients that have ensured their long-term popularity. Listen as your instructor explains the subtleties of scent across a range of perfumes, highlighting the different ingredients at play in the many types of fragrances: eau de cologne, eau de parfum, eau fraiche and eau de toilette. Enjoy a discussion on the many diverse scents available on the market today. Everyone's sure to have a favorite.
Then delve into the hands-on portion of your perfume workshop ─ a chance to put your new-found knowledge into practice. Bring your sense of smell to the fore as you choose from 90 ingredients to create your perfect scent. Blend your hand-picked selection of essential oils, bases and fragrances how you like, and experiment with ingredients just like the experts.
At the end of your 1.5-hour perfume workshop, receive a diploma and take home a 1.75-fl oz (50-ml) container of your personalized eau de parfum. You can order more of your new perfume using the unique perfume code on your diploma.

This was a great experience. I was there by myself and got to spend as much time as I wanted thinking about the scents and then coming up with a complex yet fresh combination to call my own scent! The staff were friendly and helpful! Be prepared to name your scent!

Excellent experience everything was explained well and they left me to try out all the scents and figure out which ones I liked best, checking in occasionally to see how things were going. Once I determined which ones I liked best, an employee sat with me and we collaborated 1-on-1 to determine which pairings worked best and at which ratios. At the end of the session I had my own specialised perfume, a certificate and a great memory of my time in Nice. My scent even has it's own code so I can reorder it anytime I wish! The staff were passionate, friendly and helpful, and threw in many free samples of the other staple scents they make at Molinard. I would highly recommend this workshop.

Absolutely amazing and personalized experience. I booked this tour for my adult son and myself with no great expectation. However, it proved to be one of the highlights of our trip. The person who worked with us was amazing and personable. We learned a lot about how a scent is created and had time to develop our own individual bottle of perfume to bring back with us. It was highly personalized and individualized and a great learning experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
