Head to the tourist office in central Bordeaux in the evening to begin your 2-hour walking tour. Depending on the weather and number of people in your group, the route of your tour is customized to ensure you see the best of Bordeaux.

Walk to Monument aux Girondins, a dramatic fountain statue commemorating the Girondists, a group of political martyrs during the French Revolution. Continue along the banks of the Garonne River to Place de la Bourse, where the stock exchange is located. This square was constructed in the 1700s by King Louis XV's architect Gabriel, to serve as a frame for the monarch's statue.

Stroll down Bordeaux's main walking street, Rue Sainte-Catherine, often considered as one of the longest pedestrian streets in Europe. At night, this road enlivens with the bustling energy of the nighttime crowd, who come for the many restaurants and bars that line the main strip and its charming offshoot alleys.

Arrive at Place de la Com□die, once the site of a Roman temple and today a busy traffic hub. This plaza is home to Bordeaux's cultural symbol, the renowned Grand Th□tre. Place de la Com□die was built between 1773 and 1780 as testament to the prosperity of the region's emerging bourgeoisie. It is one of the last remaining 18th-century theaters in the world.

Your tour concludes back at the tourist office. Your guide will be happy to give you suggestions on great places to enjoy drinks or a late dinner (own expense).
