After meeting your local guide at the Byron Bay Visitors Center, you’ll be transferred to the Tyagarah Airfield for your exhilarating Gyrocopter Flight. On arrival you’ll listen to a safety briefing and get fitted with your flight suit and helmet. It is then time to take to the skies. Your experienced flight instructor will take you on an unforgettable journey over the most easterly point of the Australian continent. Take in some incredible sights, including the Byron Bay Lighthouse, the Byron Bay township and the beautiful surrounding beaches. From the air you’ll also have the opportunity to spot an extraordinary array of ocean wildlife including migrating humpback whales (May-Oct), dolphins, turtles, stingrays and more. Seen from above, this experience will appeal to photographers, wildlife lovers, flying enthusiasts or those who simply want to marvel at the natural beauty of Byron Bay and the surrounding hinterland from the sky.

Once back on land, your tour continues with a visit to the historic little hinterland village of Bangalow. Spend some time exploring the towns fascinating mix of cafes, galleries, antique stores and boutiques. From Bangalow, your tour winds back to Byron Bay where you walk up through subtropical rainforest to the Byron Bay Lighthouse. On the walk, keep a look out for wallabies, bush turkeys, water dragons and a vast variety of sea birds that all call the Cape Byron Headland home. From the Byron Bay Lighthouse, located at the peak of the headland, soak up some of the most spectacular 360 degree ocean and Byron hinterland views. Finish your exploration with a delicious, locally sourced BBQ style lunch at one of Byron’s finest beaches. And don't forget your camera  there will be lots of photo opportunities throughout the day!
