After pickup from your hotel, head to the Sedona airport to board your helicopter and fly west toward the Red Rock-Secret Mountain Wilderness, passing over the Dry Creek area.
One of the Sedona area’s most popular destinations for hiking and other mountain activities, the wilderness is surrounded on three sides by high red cliffs that are split by many deep and hidden canyons, including Secret Canyon, which you’ll see.
Next, fly over Rattlesnake Mesa and into Boynton Canyon to see the ancient cliff homes of the Sinaguan people, a pre-Columbian group that occupied the Verde Valley region from 500 AD to 1425 AD. Their incredible homes have stood the test of time and are some of the most interesting sights on your helicopter tour.
On your way back to the airport, fly over Bear Mountain, Fay's Arch and Doe Mesa.

The helicopter ride was worth the whole trip! It was the most wonderful thing I have ever experienced. Our pilot was so professional and knew the area well so we got great info! I can't find words to describe the breathtaking beauty . So great to be right up close to the rock formations we had seen from afar. I wanted to turn right around and do another tour as soon as I got off. Worth EVERY cent!.

This has got to be the best way to tour the canyons! It's one breathtaking view after another; and sights you wouldn't be able to see well, if at all, from the ground -- like the ancient dwellings perched high in the rock face. Super pilot Mike made us feel totally safe and narrated a great tour!

So often we travel to the ends of the earth to experience advantages that may just reside in our own backyard. Well, that was this bucket list item. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The ride was just spectacular. Having hiked a lot of the canyons the view from above provided a whole new perspective of Sedona trails. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

The weather was perfect as was the visibility over the Sedona canyons, pine trees, and Sinaqua Indian ruins. The pilot was informative and keep conversation going with his passengers, and informative talk. I saw more and covered more territory, which of course is the entire principle of having an helicopter flight as opposed to car, or hike, or airplane. I will definitely try this again. Thanks.
