You’ll be picked up from your downtown or Fisherman’s Wharf hotel in San Francisco and taken on a 4- to 5-hour city tour aboard a comfortable 13-passenger minivan.

Your guide will show you must-see attractions such as Union Square, Chinatown, Haight-Ashbury, Twin Peaks and North Beach, and will also take you to off the beaten path places, offering you a unique experience of the city from a local’s perspective. Your tour is semi-customizable, so you can request places you’d like to see. Simply let your guide know which attractions you'd like to stop at to enjoy photo opportunities.

After touring San Francisco, head over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, a beautiful, charming town on San Francisco Bay that stretches into the wooded hillsides. Sausalito is full of unique boutique shops and galleries showcasing artwork from local artists. You can then hop on the ferry (one-way ticket included) for a 25-minute ride along San Francisco Bay, offering incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the stunning San Francisco skyline.

Upgrade: Muir Woods Trip

Enjoy a break for lunch (own expense) in Sausalito at one of the many notable cafes or restaurants. Then, hop back in the van for your trip to Muir Woods.

Spend more than 2 hours exploring Muir Woods National Monument on a fully narrated tour. Enjoy the tranquility of nature as you walk under the towering forest in awe of some of the world’s tallest redwood trees.

After your amazing Muir Woods experience, you’ll return to Sausalito for more free time to explore the town on your own. Sausalito is full of unique boutique shops and galleries showcasing artwork from local artists. Great tour for first day in the city! We saw all the highlights and figured out where we would like to go on our own. Phil was an amazing host! He was very informative, funny, and made sure we had time to stop and take photos. I highly recommend this tour. The Muir Woods option was amazing as well! Beautiful spot so close to the city!

This was the best trip of my whole visit to America. There was only 4 of us on the tour so Phil the tour guide made it personal to us. He was funny entertaining and knowledgable. I would suggest anyone going to San Francisco should go on this tour especially if Phil is the guide. It was brilliant.

The tour was very fun. We were taken to all the areas we hoped to see. We did have one issue ( and I talked to some of the others on the tour with us). Our driver for the morning session, Jeff Benham, was a concern. He seemed very nervous and uptight while trying to get us all picked up. He had to back track a couple of times because he realized he had forgotten someone. His driving made a lot of us nervous. He almost hit a couple vehicles. His driving was very erratic especially when we were heading up to Muir Woods. He came awful close to the edge, scaring several of us. One person commented that they thought he was on something!? My concern is that he wasn't very focused on what he was doing?? I give this info just so that maybe someone should talk to him. He was very informative but not sure I would get in a van with him again. The afternoon went much better. I can't find the driver's name, but he was excellent. He really gave us an insight to the area - he knew his stuff. He was very friendly and accommodating to the group.
