Quite simply too long! It was 5 hours on choppy waters. We were quite far away from the whales when we saw them, which was a bit disappointing. We had been dolphin watching in Scotland and that was far better. After a couple of hours, half of the people were asleep, whilst others were throwing up.

Great tour. Especially liked the ecological aspect. Friendly staff and great looking whales and other wonders!

The crew and naturalist were excellent. The whales and other wildlife were much more than cooperative. An amazingly safe, fun, and informative trip. One to be remembered.

The crew were knowledgeable and attentive. However, there were too many passengers and not enough seats. The crew went out of their way to locate whales, but I am not sure they would have found any if I had not reported seeing some to the south of our location the previous day. Every time they yelled Thar she blows all the passengers ran to the front or side of the boat where the whales were spotted making it virtually impossible for everyone to see them or get a picture. I sure didn't get one. One time someone knocked me onto one of the metal seats and I hit my knee really hard. It still hurts and I hope nothing is too injured. I can walk but my knee swelled and I have some pain. I felt the person hit my foot while they ran to the other side of the boat. Some of the passengers were rude. I would not go back and do this again unless I was on a boat with fewer people.

We had a great time and saw several whales, seals, sea lions, porpoise and dolphins, as well as a lot of sea birds. However, if I were to do it again, I would skip the Farallon Islands tour, and just to a tour that was primarily focused on whale watching. The trip to the Farallon Islands took away time from finding other whales, and was mostly about seeing birds. We managed to pick up a swarm of flies while at the Farallon Islands that stayed with the boat for the remainder of the trip - very annoying.

Fun trip. Staff very nice and informative. Took a while to see whales but finely did.

We were fortunate enough to see multiple whales. Crews was WONDERFUL and INFORMATIVE!

The crew was exceptional. They were knowledgeable and entertaining. Would have liked to get closer to the wildlife we observed.

What a great time. Not only where we excited to see the whales but the captain and crew where just as excited. They could not have been nicer.

We saw so many whales it was unbelievable. The crew was so kind and informative. They even provided blankets for those of us that didn't dress warm enough.
