After your flight to Arches, your guide will lead you to the river rafting portion of the trip. Upstream from Moab, the Colorado River runs through a deep red rock canyon passing desert towers, varnished mesas and snowcapped peaks. The rapids are fun, splashy and a great introduction to river running for the whole family. No matter how much time you have, this is a place you need to see for yourself.

The whitewater is rated class II with a few class III. They are clean, straight forward rapids with a little bit of rock and roll. May and June bring higher flows with the snow melt from the Rocky Mountains and things get a bit more interesting. In the summer months water levels drop and water temperatures rise, presenting the perfect opportunity to swim in the mighty Colorado River.
