On this tour, you may see the wildlife that made the Barataria Swamps the Crown Jewel of the Louisiana Purchase. Here, birds, snakes, turtles, fur animals, and gators are easily spotted in Spring, Summer, and Fall. Gators do hibernate during the cold winter months, but lay on the bayou banks on warmer days. So even in Winter, your native Captains can sometimes find a sunning Gator on our tour.
The slow drift of the tour boats through moss draped trees and small waterways, will provide ample opportunity for viewing and photography.The New Orleans swamp tour boats are fully narrated and our captains are natives of the Barataria Swamps with a background of gator hunting, fishing and trapping. Everything way above expectations. To really see and learn about the swamp area take the covered boat, not the air boat. Our guy was personable and knew the area all his life. He promised gators and saw at least 5. We loved the tour.

We had a great time on our tour! Everyone was fun, informative, and professional from the shuttle driver who picked us up to the tour guide. We did the swamp boat and saw plenty of gators up close and some on our shuttle did the more fast paced air boat tour. We all had an amazing time!

We had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide was very informative. Loved that he was from the area and knew so much about the swamps. We got to see turtle, birds, snakes and lots of Alligators. Well worth the $$$ spent.

This tour was awesome! We got picked up at the hotel promptly. Our tour guide on the swamp boat was GREAT! Very knowledgeable and funny. We saw many gators and the scenery was spectacular. We even got to hold baby alligators. It was really a wonderful experience and I highly recommend!
