Designed to stop wars, not start them, the USS Iowa served the US for more than 50 years and was known as the “Battleship of Presidents.” See where Roosevelt stayed and planned WWII strategy in the stately captain's cabin ─ complete with the only bathtub on a US Navy ship built specifically for a president.
At this family-friendly attraction, discover the evolution of this flagship of the fleet, which boasts a new role today as an interactive classroom. Via film footage and exhibits, you'll see the Battleship USS Iowa as her former crews saw her. Wander the same wooden decks and bridges, and explore the iconic ship’s interior spaces where elite Navy sailors performed their duties during the Korean War and the Cold War.

We took my 95 year old father to see this. He was in WW2. It's a no brainer to have handicap facilities but they had nothing. I imagine that many Vets have had this experience. A way to get into the main room with all the memorabilia would have been enough.

This was just so so good, the Volunteers were very helpful and the ship was very well kept and it was a great experience for my three children, one who is a navy cadet, and she found it mind blowing and informative, my five year old thought all his dreams had come true, and the game of finding Vicki was perfect for the kids. Thank you what an awesome ship.

If you are a military veteran or just have an interest in the military then this is a must for you when next in Hawaii. I didn't realise that the ship was so big and its history so extensive and I was totally amazed by what I saw during the trip. My only regret was that I didn't do it on our own as being with a tour it somewhat limited our time on board. Even so it was a great tour and I recommend it to everyone.

The boat/museum was great! But don't get tickets via Viator for USS Iowa. You still need to stand in line at the ticket booth to trade your printed ticked for a real one
