Your small-group tour starts with pick up from your Las Vegas Strip or downtown hotel at approximately 8am. Head out with your certified interpretive guide on a tour that includes the dam's Visitor Center with its fascinating Hoover Dam movie and historical displays. In addition, the tour takes you in an elevator down over 500 ft. to the generator room located on the Nevada side of the dam.
Located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam was once the largest dam in the world. It is an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of mans outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river and the extreme hazards of great heights on the chasm's sheer walls. The building of the dam also created Lake Mead, North America's largest man-made reservoir.
Before returning to Las Vegas, enjoy a stop at a local park where herds of Big Horn Sheep often come down from the surrounding mountains (seasonal) to graze on the sweet grass.
As part of your tour, you will receive a complimentary guide on the geology and history of the dam, Native American history, local flora and fauna information and many other interesting tidbits!

awesome tour guide named Adam very informative of everything about Las vegas on the way out to the hoover dam. very knowledgeable about the hoover dam and lake mead. very enjoyable tour . I can't say enough good about this tour. the trip to the park with the big horn sheep was great . Adam had ice cold water water for us when we walked up from the hoover dam it was 108 degrees out that day HOT!!! Adam would always open our doors when we was getting out of the vehicle. he was a great tour guide and a great tour!

Tour guide was great! He pointed out key landmarks while traveling from Las Vegas to the Hoover Dam and also provided the history about Hoover Dam. Pickup at our hotel was timely. He stopped along the way to allow us to take photos. Once at the dam, we joined the tour offered by Hoover Dam. It was educational. Following the inside tour of the dam which lasted about 1 hour, there was plenty of time to explore the exhibit inside the visitor's center and the top of the dam. Our tour guide also stopped on the way back to Las Vegas for more photo opportunities before dropping us off at our hotel. It was a stress free experience and we highly recommend this tour!
