The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is an educational and permanent historic exhibit that examines the life, times, death and legacy of President John F. Kennedy within the context of American history. The museum's exhibition area uses historic films, photographs, artifacts and interpretive displays to document the events of the assassination, the findings of the official investigations that followed and the historical legacy of that national tragedy. The Kennedy assassination remains one of the most significant events in American history and the assassination site is the most visited historic site in North Texas. Many of the visitors to the site come to resolve feelings of grief that persist even after over three decades. Still others, those too young to remember (now over half of the U.S. population), come to learn more about a man and an event that profoundly shaped the United States. Visit: The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, Dallas, Texas

Suddenly, at 12:30pm, after the motorcade turned from Houston Street onto Elm Street, shots were fired, killing President Kennedy and wounding Governor Connally. Bob Jackson, a Dallas Times Herald photographer, was in a press car in motorcade, eight cars behind the President. After he heard a third shot, Jackson looked up and spotted a rifle at a sixth-floor corner window in the Texas School Book Depository building.

Good museum, with some historical significance. However, if you've watched enough shows, or read enough books on JFK, I wouldn't go expecting to learn a great deal of new information. Overall, worth doing.

The JFK Museum was an incredible experience. It was an emotional journey back in time. So much information that we had forgotten or were unaware of was presented in a clear and understandable format. It is worth the admission and time.

Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza
When in Dallas Dealey plaza is all about History of the President Kennedy assassination. The Museum is a must see and is perfectly laid out to help you understand what was going on then. We were first on line so no real wait but some said the line could get long. I still would have waited to see this museum

We were in Dallas for a week for my wife's college reunion and were not about to pass up this piece of history. Highly informative and educational is what I'd call it. Mixed in is what one might call trivia but it's interesting stuff all the same. Not to be missed if you're in or around Dallas.

Excellent experience! Great history lesson. Very emotional for me. I remember the assassination and funeral.
