By the time you pass the dapper doorman and reach the bottom of the grand staircase you’ll have jumped back in time to an era long past. Welcome to the Top Shelf Retrotainment of Uptown Underground! Check in with the host and be seated in our Moonshine Mainstage, complete with a gorgeous, jewel box stage that harkens back to the grand performance halls of the Gypsy Rose Lee crowd! Sit back, relax, and order a delicious drink from your server while soaking in the history of a venue that was rumored to be a speakeasy once owned by Capone himself.

The eclectic menu boasts brands of local and regional craft beers, wines and spirits. Wet your whistle on a Walt’s Manhattan, named after the man who built the bar, Glitter Gimlet, or if you’re into something sweet and fruity, the Muffy Mai Tai. On any given night of the week, be prepared to be serenaded by singers, dazzled by dancers, mesmerized by magicians, diva-fied by drag queens or cracking up at comedians.

The venue plays host to a variety of different productions including: The Kiss Kiss Cabaret, Muffy Fishbasket and Her Drag Queen Debutantes, The Chicago Magic Lounge, Brass Chuckles Comedy: Comedy that Kicks Ass, The Cabaret Project, Pervesk' Burlesk', Boy Toy's Pocket Cabaret, the Nick Sula Piano Spotlight, and many many more. You never know where the night will take you. Come early and stay late!
