Ever wonder where New York’s secret treasure vaults for the insanely rich are? Or what are the effects of a highly compressed atmosphere on a common toilet? Did you find yourself thinking how much fun it must have been to be a poor immigrant in 19th century America? Learn all this and more as you walk across the eighth wonder of the world! Get ready to discover the amazing story of the Brooklyn Bridge and learn about incredible men and women who built it.

This tour starts in the old Five Points district, New York City's most notorious slum, where you will learn all about the immigrants who came to this country and helped in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Then, take a walk through Manhattan's Civic Center area where your guide will introduce the city's most corrupt politician, Boss Tweed himself. After that, tackle the Great Bridge itself!

On the bridge, you will learn how it was constructed, the amazing inventions of the 19th century engineers who designed it, and of course, all the horrible ways that the workers died! (Seriously, it’s pretty brutal.) Finally, the tour ends on the Brooklyn Promenade for the most picturesque view of the Manhattan skyline and to discuss the legacy of this amazing landmark.

At the end of your tour, your guides can direct you to the nearest transportation to get you back to Manhattan.

The Brooklyn Bridge tour I took in my last trip to NYC was the highlight of my stay! Jonathan and Alex were outstanding tour guides with a wealth of information, a comfortable pace, and an easy-going demeanor. They offered interesting stories and facts and also answered all the questions we asked - not a particularly easy task!

My favorite part was learning about how the Brooklyn Bridge was built. Jonathan has an almost unbelievable story that will crack you up - it was one of the highlights of the tour for me!

Overall, I'd highly recommend the tour company, even if you've been on other NYC tours. Jonathan and Alex are memorable guides with unique information. I can't wait to book one of their other tours for my next visit to NYC!
