Passing by the Historic Parker Ranch on the way to Waipio Valley

Stop At: Waipi'o Valley, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

traverse shallow river streams and pass by taro fields surrounded by native flora and fauna, our guide will share the stories and legends of this special place while you marvel at Hawaii Island’s tallest waterfall, Hi’ilawe Falls, which cascades down 1300 feet in the back of the valley.

Duration: 2 hours

In the afternoon, we continue the drive down the scenic Hamakua Coast and visit the towering Akaka Falls, which plummets 442 feet into a stream-eroded gorge.

Stop At: Rainbow Falls, Hilo, Island of Hawaii, Hawaii

Visit this waterfall in Hilo from a private lookout

The trip to Waipio Valley exceeded my expecrtations! Beautiful flowers, historical details, ecology and geology details. Restroom stops abundant. Akaka Falls beautiful in the light rain. Bring your own rain jacket because the one provided made me sweat! Rainbow Falls from the non-public side was beautiful too!

Our guide Drew as fantastic. His knowledge of the island, water falls, flora and fauna was extensive and he was willing to share. His sense of humour kept us alert. The water falls were beautiful even though the weather was a bit drizzly. The Waipio was also fantastic and we learned a lot while we went through rivers and streams seeing the beauty of it. A must for everyone

Great tour. We not only saw dozens of waterfalls and got to swim in one, we also stopped at a fruit farm where we saw and sampled many different fruits and spices. We also took an adventurous trip down into Waipio Valley that was was absolutely beautiful. This trip really offers a wide variety of activities and takes you deep into many different parts of the Big Island.
