In 2020, Plimoth Plantation will commemorate the 400th anniversary of the infamous Mayflower voyage, the founding of New England¡¯s Plymouth Colony, and the history and relationship with the Wampanoag people who have lived here for 12,000 years. A visit to Plimoth Plantation is a unique opportunity to experience history first-hand through the stories and demonstrations of the Native People and the Pilgrim role-players. Located south of Boston on Cape Cod Bay, the Museum features three outdoor exhibits: Plimoth Plantation (Wampanoag Homesite, 17th-Century English Village, Craft Center), Mayflower II, and the Plimoth Grist Mill, all within a short drive from one another. Choose how many of the museum sites you want to visit; each offers an educational experience about America¡¯s founding story. The newly restored Mayflower II, a national treasure, will be welcomed home in 2020.
